Big Sky Resort is proud to announce a new seasonal weekend non-stop United Airlines flight from Los Angeles starting December 13. They also welcome Frontier Airlines to their first winter season of non-stop service from Denver to Bozeman. Frontier began service to the Bozeman area in May of 2008.
The decision to initiate Los Angeles service this winter is a reflection of the success of the San Francisco flights that culminate the effort by the Big Sky area to expand service to California. While the flights were arranged with Big Sky Resort negotiating the terms of the guarantees, partners in the Big Sky community work together to help shoulder the potential costs of these airline guarantees.
This model has been successful in recent years with Big Sky attracting flights from Atlanta, Chicago, and San Francisco. Allegiant Air announced it will begin non-stop service from Bozeman to Las Vegas.
Gallatin Field Airport, the seventh busiest airport in the Pacific Northwest, will become the only airport in Montana with non-stop service to San Francisco and Los Angeles.
